- Do I have to subscribe to call Hermes Plant?
- No. Every endpoint is callable pay-as-you-go over x402 with USDC on Base. The monthly plans are for agents and teams that call endpoints often enough that a flat quota beats paying per call.
- How does pay-as-you-go billing work?
- Your agent calls a Hermes Plant endpoint. The first request returns HTTP 402 with the price, network, and payTo. The agent signs a USDC payment, retries, and receives the deterministic result. There is no monthly minimum and no API key.
- What's included in the Agent API Pass at $29/month?
- $35 of public-price-weighted endpoint credits per calendar month across trust, safety, and finance. A one-cent safety gate consumes one credit and a $2 analysis consumes 200, eliminating raw-call arbitrage. Past the credit balance, calls fall back to normal per-call x402 pricing. Checkout is self-serve and cancel-anytime.
- Is there a free tier?
- Yes. Enter your email on the pricing page and we issue an API key instantly — 250 metered calls per calendar month across every agent-services endpoint, no card required. Send the key as an X-API-Key header. Past the free quota, the same call still works per-call over x402, and you can upgrade to the $29 Agent API Pass anytime.
- What is Assurance Team at $199/month?
- Assurance Team is a founder-assisted design-partner plan for one organization. The implemented MVP binds exact x402 payments and MCP tool calls to organization policy, creates signed decision and receipt records, and retains organization history. We confirm fit and provision access after a rollout call; it is not instant self-serve.
- What is Assurance Business at $799/month?
- Assurance Business starts with the same implemented assurance spine, then scopes production retention, audit-export, SSO/security, SLA, and private-gateway requirements in a signed design-partner plan. Those scope-dependent features are not represented as already activated or unattended self-serve.
- What happens if I hit my plan's monthly quota?
- Nothing breaks. Over-quota requests return a clear 429 with your reset date, and the same call can always be made per-call over x402 — so your agent keeps working while you decide whether to upgrade.
- What if a call returns a non-deterministic result?
- We refund any settled call whose inputs do not reproduce the same output under the documented schema. Determinism is the product — if we fail it, the payment comes back.
- Are there volume discounts?
- Yes. Talk to us about Enterprise — committed monthly minimums in exchange for per-call discounts, dedicated facilitator capacity, and an SLA with credits.
